  • Work began in earnest for Fifth and Sixth Classes on their Junior Entrepreneur Project with the production of key rings. The products feature a combination of pictures of local historical sites, the Kilmovee Shamrocks Crest, as well as personalised key rings featuring customers’ names. A lot of hard work and effort went into the process, with sales exceeding all expectations. The unit price is €1.50 or three for €4.00. The process has proved hugely beneficial, with the pupils gaining confidence in problem-solving, creativity and team-work.

  • The Aistear theme in Miss Burke’s classroom was; Frogs.                                              There were some new additions in the classroom this month in the form of tadpoles! Children had the opportunity to watch the various changes they underwent as the days went by. They learned a song entitled ‘The Lonely Frog’ and a poem called ‘Frogs’. They also engaged in some art work around the theme. Children really enjoyed observing, identifying and exploring the characteristics of the tadpoles as they transitioned through the various life stages.
