• Schools in the whole country remained closed due to the pandemic. Although this undoubtedly brought stress and anxiety for many families, the extremely good weather which we all took pleasure from, gave us a reason to be a little more upbeat. Children enjoyed the wonderful sunshine and in this locality were so fortunate to be able to enjoy nature and the great outdoors. They got involved in gardening, farming and even going to the bog! Parents told us of opportunities that this time at home provided and memories that were made. Everybody continued to abide by public health advice in order to save lives and support our front line hospital workers.
• In order to facilitate more effective communication during the covid-19 closure, Mrs Warde set up a new email address specifically for contact between parents and staff. This was to prove invaluable in the weeks ahead as an effective method of correspondence.
