  • Prize Winners in the Art Competition organised by Ballaghaderreen Credit Union were Breen Golden and Alex Egan. Well done boys on your artistic endeavours!

 

  • Pupils and Staff attended mass on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception in Kilmovee Church. Later that day, Fr. Sherlock blessed the newly built ‘Seomra Tacaíochta’ (Support Room) in the school.

 

  • Quiz Team-Matthew Boylan, Anna Hughes, Stephen Shiel and Caoimhe Duffy competed at the County Final of The Library Services Quiz in Roscommon where they finished in a very creditable third place. Congratulations on this great achievement!

 

  • The Aistear Theme in Mrs. Warde’s Classroom was; Toys. Pupils discussed their favourite toys, learned about toys in other countries and toys favoured by their parents and grandparents when they were children. In the Construction Area, Santa’s workshop was designed and built and children role-played being elves- assembling, painting and wrapping toys. The class wrote letters to Santa and listened to Christmas stories, songs and rhymes. The excitement was palpable as the children counted down the number of ‘sleeps’ until the night that the all-important visitor was due to call!
